Today in web media we read an article on how social media is having an effect on government in Egypt. I think it is effecting the country because now people can say what is really going on in their country and the government doesn't want other countries knowing what is going on because they probably want to be a model country. I don't think governments should censor the social media sites because it's free speech.

The video "predicting the next 5,000 days of the web." was interesting because I didn't know before that every two years the old technology courses get out dated. I agree with this because i've notice every year there is some kind of new technology out there.

In my opinion I think social media is somewhere where a group of friends can interact over the internet or whatever equipment that has internet on it. Currently i only use facebook as a social media website. I think that social media websites are great to have around.
